In her first solo museum exhibition, artist Sam Modder transforms the Tampa Museum of Art’s first floor galleries into a fairytale world of whimsy and wonder. Each wall offers a glimpse into her imagination, with the main characters bearing a unique likeness to the artist. The figures serve as duplicates of the protagonist and represent both hero and anti-hero. In Modder’s world, hair anchors the fable and symbolizes power, beauty, and vitality.
