Holding the Light: Contemporary Wabanaki Photography brings together work by eight Wabanaki photographers: Maya Tihtiyas Attean, Nolan Altvater, Danikah Chartier, Nate Gaffney, Jared Lank, Ann Pollard Ranco, Lokotah Sanborn, and Desmond Simon. Working across photography, film, installation, and cyanotype, these artists draw on a long history of Wabanaki visual art and storytelling while using contemporary forms to picture life today.
