El Nacimiento is a traditional Mexican nativity scene. This installation is a collection of hundreds of miniature figures, depicting scenes from the Bible, carefully arranged below colorful lights. Many of the scenes show stories from the Old Testament as they might have occurred in a Mexican village, which creates a unique tie between this religious observance and daily life in rural Mexico.
