STEVENSON is pleased to present Figure, Ground , Thenjiwe Niki Nkosi’s fourth solo exhibition with the gallery. Comprising painting, drawing, video and installation, Figure, Ground presents a new chapter in Nkosi’s ongoing discussion of the tension between interiority and the requirements of public life. For her latest body of work, the artist moves away from depictions of the sports arena as an allegory of performance, achievement, and being.
