Giambologna’s “Fata Morgana” The Cleveland Museum of Art has acquired Fata Morgana , one of the greatest works by Giambologna (1529–1608), the preeminent sculptor of his generation, and the last known marble sculpture by his hand in a private collection. This rare and internationally renowned figure is being shown in a gallery evoking the Tuscan grotto in which it was originally placed.
