Ry Rocklen has spent more than two decades making ordinary objects—rocking chairs, drying racks, abandoned cars, shopping carts—behave unexpectedly. In Desert Lenses , these familiar forms become uncanny vantages for surveilling the high desert around his home in Joshua Tree.
