Architect or artist? Early in his career, Antoine Predock (American, 1936-2024) confessed that he found himself “at a Robert Frost-like fork in the road. I could have chosen artist or architect.” He chose architecture and became known around the world as the architect from New Mexico who brought together earth and sky, rivers and mountains, desert mesas and prairie plains, ancient cultures and modern technologies, into manmade landscapes that ground us in a place and locate us in the cosmos.
