We will hold an exhibition focusing on colors unique to Japanese painting. Mineral pigments, which are used as the base material for Japanese painting, are made from crushed minerals. They have the unique, granulated texture and create delicate colors that vary based on the size of the grains. Painters require skill and patience to use these pigments effectively; painters have to wrap over colors little by little, dissolving the pigments into nikawa, animal glue.
