Marking the two hundredth anniversary of the earliest known surviving photograph made with a camera obscura, Writing with Sun, Drawing with Light explores the breadth of photographic processes represented in the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block’s permanent collection. Photography is a medium that has inspired a restless search for the new, from novel materials and chemical properties to the invention of instant images, reproducible images, and digital images.
