In the world of painting, images and signs that evoke the passage of time have been both manifold and elusive. Over the years, the artist has been in search for the visual equivalents of “fleeting time” that can encompass both the past and present. Consequently, she feels never finished with her work and thus restarts only to find that space and forms change and mutate in ways one cannot envision. In this process of transformation, some personages can become variations on mythological themes.
