Wishful Thinking is Karon Davis’ meditation on the complicated, all too often absent role of the Black figure within the canon of art history. The exhibition presents new life-size, nude sculptures created from body casting friends, muses, and models. Incorporating and expanding upon the classical tradition of sculpture, Davis reconsiders the nude through a contemporary lens.
